Easter Bunny Brunch

Posted by Jamie Klinger-Krebs on Apr 9, 2012 4:29:00 PM

easter brunch goodwillAfter the Easter egg hunt, treat the family to a yummy and festive Easter Bunny Brunch.

Begin your table design by adding colors, to make things more fun. I started at the nearest Goodwill Store & Donation Center, where I found these orange and hot pink bowls that were only 49¢ each!

Instead of the usual dinner plate, I used rectangular shaped dishes. For a bold punch of color, fold a napkin in thirds and lay it on the plate under the other dishes.

Fill little bird nests with jelly beans (who says you can’t eat dessert first?). Chop sticks are a unique and unexpected element at an Easter meal.

Using a giant roll of orange paper raffia (only $1.99), I made paper carrots and have enough left over for Halloween projects too.

To begin, cut a piece of paper in a V-shape. Next, twist the bottom tightly and secure with a glue stick. Fill the carrot with tissue paper or jelly beans and glue the seam.

Finally, cut strips of purple raffia, tuck into the opening and tie it together with another piece of orange paper.

No time to dye eggs? How about wrapping a hard-boiled egg with left over raffia? Or, wrap plastic eggs filled with candy for a special treat.

Create your own colorful holiday table setting for a few dollars and a spark of imagination. I would love to see how your Easter table turns out!
